Service Levels
Service Levels
At Sierra Wealth Advisors, we believe that the best interests of our clients are served by a constant, long-term relationship rather than an advisory relationship that is merely temporary or occasional. Regularly reviewing the progress toward financial goals (and making the necessary course corrections) dramatically increases the probability of successfully achieving those goals.
Sierra Wealth Advisors generally offers multiple levels of service based on annual fees paid, as outlined by the table below. However, in support of the non-profit community, all non-profit clients are accorded Platinum Service regardless of annual fees or assets under management. Non-profit clients receive Portfolio Reviews rather than Progress Reviews, and some services (e.g., Financial Plan Updates) are not applicable.
We also recognize that some individuals are unfamiliar with asset-based fees if they have never worked with an advisor before or have only worked with commission-based advisors (by being fee-only we avoid the conflicts of interest inherent in commission-based compensation). Therefore, we offer Bronze Service (our hourly service) as a trial arrangement so people can experience the value of our services via a fee method with which they’re more familiar. Sierra Wealth Advisors makes a commitment to our clients to provide objective, unbiased advice for an exceptional value, and our focus on keeping costs and fees to a minimum make us a true value leader. However, in order to maintain our high level of service and value to those clients who have made a long-term commitment to work with us (via an asset-based fee), it’s only reasonable that we place some restrictions on our Bronze Service. Specifically, we limit the duration of Bronze Service and we do not provide access to asset class mutual funds for our Bronze Service clients.
The following table outlines the differences between the service levels:

2.Platinum clients may request financial plan updates more frequently than once per year.
3.Asset class mutual funds are only available through select fee-only advisors. For clients who are not ready to make a long-term commitment to work with Sierra Wealth Advisors, we don’t believe that it would make sense for us to provide access to these funds.
4.Gold and Platinum clients may request semi-annual rebalancing of tax-deferred assets. Taxable assets are never rebalanced more than annually in order to avoid generating unnecessary short-term capital gains.
